“Oddfellow the Movie will be different,” says David, “yet it will complement the book.”
Oddfellow – The Movie
“Oddfellow the movie will be the ultimate peace treatise from a human interest perspective; portraying the way it could have been,” says David.
“I believe thoughts become things, and it is within the power of our sub-conscious mind and within the nature of being human to actually recreate the past in our imagination, in order to envisage and create a better future.”
“From the dreamtime of ancient traditions to quantam physics, we are confronted with the concept of space/time illusion.”
The release of the short film ‘Truths and Roses‘ will provide a platform for the funding and development of Oddfellow The Movie.

Truths and Roses

‘Truths and Roses‘ is a short film screenplay recently completed, with original soundtrack of the same name, and ready to enter pre-production mode. The script is inspired by a quotation from Henri David Thoreau (1817-1862) : “Truths and roses have thorns about them”. Thoreau was an American author, poet, and transendentalist, and his philosophy influenced such notable figures as Leo Tolstoy, Mohandas Ghandi, and Martin Luther King Jr.
“I think people are tired of being told answers,” says David. “Sometimes questions are more important than answers.”
Every scripted line of this 15 minute drama production is a question. It explores the relationship between the unfolding of truth and the plight of a rose, and seeks to challenge and provoke the audience into providing their own answers in their own time, to some of the most pertinent issues of this age.
This is a story about sacrifice and survival ; about control and personal responsibility ; about the difference between power over and power with.
